My second attempt at making a game and my first (mostly) completed one. This is a small metroidvania where you play as a little mushroom person who is just trying to find their purpose (and some bread). Collect upgrades along the way to help you reach previously inaccessible places. Bounce your way to ascension!

Use Mouse to click START. Movement controls are explained in game. Press' Enter' to get through any text and 'r' to reset to your last spawn/checkpoint.

Sorry about all the audio issues and if there's any latency. I never managed to figure it out :/

wish i could get 100%.
but in the 4 bread room, i collect the forth final bread in the top left.

Upon leaving and reentering the room, the count is back to 3/4 and the bread is back in place.

and in the 5 bread room, I jsut cant find the final fifht bread. Like at all, no idea where it is :-(

It's a little hard to control once you get the dash because you have essentially the same button tied to three seperate comands, so in the part where you have to go fast you have to hold shift, then release shift, then somehow not do the double jump when you release shift...it's weird to control is what I'm saying, just tie the double jump to something else (or the dash mechanic to something else) and I think it would be okay

Hey thanks for playing! One of my design goals was to keep all the action tied to one button so that my young kids could play this on a keyboard without issue. I found that during the dash section if you release for the first jump out of dash, then press and hold shift for the double jump, you'll land on the next platform already in dash state. It's a pretty nice rhythm once you get used to it. Though I totally agree with your criticism and in a commercial game I would have mapped the actions to separate inputs!

Great game!

Are you interested in the next Wild Jam as well? I'm looking for one or two other interested people to team up. I've done quite some jams yet and would be happy to work with you.

Hey, I don't know if I'll have as much time for the December Jam, but if the scope is small enough, I may be interested. My discord is ZiggyAkeebu#7374 if you want to chat more.

Really good game. Congrats!

Great game, such touching story, only issue i had is why shift, but after getting used tons of fun, especially the running part

shift just felt the most natural for my right hand placement when keeping my left hand on WASD. I think if I went back and redid it, I'd set it to left click though.
